capacitors are used in Chemical Industries for Photo Etching Machines, High Voltage High
Speed Electron Discharging Machines. They are also widely used for Laser
Etching under different chemical environments suitable for the base materials.
During high speed production of hydrogen, these capacitors are used for getting pure DC
voltage used for electrolysis to get pure hydrogen and oxygen. Other chemical
applications include their utility in detonation of different explosive materials during
pyrotechnic experiments and in explosive cladding.
HIGH VOLTAGE LABORATORIES : Zeonics Systech
capacitors are used in High Voltage Laboratories for :
 a) DC DUTY :
Zeonics Systech capacitors are used as Filter Capacitors for DC Power
supplies which could be Quick line frequency of 50 Hz power supply or high frequency power
supply operating in the category of 20Khz to 100 Khz. When capacitors have to be
used for high frequency applications, they have to be specially designed with certain
features like low inductance, low dissipation factor and low ESR. These capacitors
can also be used for dual duty of energy storage and Filter duty as in certain cases
during the time of filtration. If pulse widths are very long, then for a certain
period of time the capacitor has to deliver the balance energy into the load. We at
Zeonics Systech are in a position to deliver capacitors suitable to work up to 500 khz without any
additional cooling being required.
In case high frequency application are required then
the same falls under AC duty.
AC DUTY : When the capacitors are
used in AC duty, it could be used in 50 Hz applications or could be used
in high frequency application. Specific uses at 50 Hz are as load capacitors for
very high voltage systems or a distribution power factor capacitor used in high voltage
line applications. These capacitor at high frequency are used as Network
Capacitors, Pluse Forming Network, High frequency pulse shaping Network, Inverter
Capacitors used for Multipliers or could be capacitors which are used in Rf or Mf
generators.
 PULSE AND
DISCHARGE DUTY : Zeonics Systech capacitors are used in Pulse
and Discharging Duty under several possible combinations depending upon the voltage
required, pulse current required, and pulse duration required. Zeonics Systech
can manufacture capacitors in the Pico Farad range, Nano Farad and Micro Farad range
suitable for pulse discharge duty, for high voltages i,e., above 200 KV, The
capacitance values required are very low, but for voltages lower than 200 KV, the
capacitance value required is higher. This is done to have a compensation for the
total energy required in a particular application. Great care is taken to
manufacture these capacitor with special emphasis on their reliability, safety and life of
the capacitor. There could be applications where a high repeated frequency is called
for or even where a single shot requirment is required.
In case the capacitor is required as a load
capacitor to change the pulse width or shape a pulse width, then Zeonics Systech
can supply in a pulse forming network where a desired pulse can be generated.
MEASUREMENT Capacitors are used for
measurement of voltage in both AC and DC circuits, i.e., for regular 50 Hz supply the
Capacitor can be used in two different values comprising of high voltage limb and low
voltage limb. When the required high voltage is applied across the high voltage limb
and measure the low voltage across the low voltage limb using a high impedance meter or a
Oscilloscope the accurate wave form of the high voltage in a smaller magnitude can be
got, (called a Divider ). Dividers are also used in DC applications in
connection with resistors (called as Compensated Dividers ), as the R and C values are so
calculated to have highest effeciency for a given Divider. |
